An open hearing on the Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement is being held today in Seoul.
The Trade Ministry organized the occasion to prepare for future negotiations with Washington, by collecting opinions from representatives of local businesses and industries.
At the hearing, groups from the agricultural industry insisted they had suffered from the deal, and demanded a closer look into the FTA's impact.
Korea and the U.S. agreed to revise the 5-year-old agreement earlier this year on Washington's request.
So far, there have been two rounds of trade talks between the countries, with no details on the next meeting confirmed yet.
