China is arranging bilateral talks with South Korea and Japan.
According to Beijing's vice-foreign minister, many countries are asking for sideline meetings at next week's APEC summit and they're still in the process of scheduling.
During a briefing Friday, Li Baodong said his ministry is in close consultation with Seoul and Tokyo and an announcement will be made soon.
The event in Vietnam will be attended by the leaders of all 21 APEC member countries including President Moon Jae-in, Donald Trump, Xi Jinping and Shinzo Abe.
North Korea's nuclear issue is expected to be the main talking point.
