This year's Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded not to an individual but to a group -- the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons.
The Nobel committee recognized the group's work to draw attention to the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of any use of nuclear weapons…. and its efforts to achieve a treaty-based prohibition on them.
Speaking at a press conference in Geneva on Friday, ICAN's Secretary General Beatrice Fihn said President Trump's movements over North Korea and Iran showed the clear danger posed by nuclear arms.
She said all sides need to stop with the tit-for-tat rhetoric.
