A senior North Korean diplomat is expected to meet former American government officials on the sidelines of an international conference in Moscow later this month.
Radio Free Asia reports that Choe Son-hui, Pyongyang's North America bureau chief, will be attending the 2017 Moscow Nonproliferation Conference which starts on October 19th.
Former Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman, and ex-State Department special adviser Robert Einhorn are expected be at the 3-day event.
They are likely to meet with Choe and discuss the situation on the Korean peninsula.
The North Korean diplomat will also be a panelist at the conference focused on Northeast Asia Security and regional tensions.
However, no officials from the Trump administration will be attending the event.
