Starting next month, 17 companies who voluntarily signed on to the program will be taking part, gradually, by the end of next year, having all the contents of products like household deodorizers and cleaning solutions available to consumers.
The information will be compiled by the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety as part of efforts to guarantee the public's right to know what chemicals are in the products they use.
In the long run, the ministries also plan to link the information with smartphone apps and barcodes so that consumers can check it while buying things in the store.
