The 72nd United Nations General Assembly session begins in New York on Tuesday, local time.
Leaders from hundred-93 member states gathered for the annual meeting.
The event comes amid several ongoing international crises,including North Korea's continued nuclear provocations as well as conflicts in Syria and the Middle East.
These issues and more will be addressed by UN chief Antonio Guterres.
There's also a lot of buzz on how U.S. President Donald Trump willl address the assembly once he takes to the podium.
The unpredictable leader has been highly criticial of the global body going as far as to even tweet strong words about the interior decor of the UNHQ.
South Korean President Moon Jae-in will be delivering his keynote speech on Thursday.
