Int'l Olympic Committee approves golf for 2024 Paris games Updated: 2017-09-16 15:23:30 KST

The executive board of the International Olympic Committee has approved 28 sports, including golf, to be included in the program for the 2024 Games in Paris.
Golf returned to the Olympics for the first time in more than a century at the 2016 Rio Olympics where Korea's Park In-bee and Britain's Justin Rose each won a gold medal.
It means fans will see their favorite golfers compete again for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics as well as four years later in Paris.
Whether golf will be included in the program for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles will be decided by the IOC board after the Tokyo Games.
