Hyundai Motor and its affiliate Kia Motors saw their sales in France rise to near record levels in 2016.
According the France office of KOTRA, the they sold a combined 61,seven-hundred vehicles there last year.
A 16.two percent increase from the year prior, and just 24 units short of the record set in 2012.
Fuelling the welcome trend: strong sales of the Hyundai Tucson compact SUV, which more than doubled over the period, and steady sales of the Kia Sportage SUV.
The Korean automakers' on-year rise is also way above a five-percent expansion in the European nation's overall auto sales.
